Seasonal Changes

Apr. 2020 | Written by Uju Udemadu

Dear World,

I am stricken in awe at the wake of each day by your ever-changing beauty.

As the seasons change, so do you. I enjoy experiencing the highs of the strongest

wind gusts that carry your leaves to the next season. And the bittersweet sting of

your coldest days on my fingertips. I reminisce on your floral fragrances, and at the

beautiful sight of the dewyness that your summer skies cast upon my skin.

You are indeed a masterpiece.

I cannot emphasize how I value the symbolism of how your seasonal changes

take place at unannounced occurrences which magnifies your beauty ever-more.

I value your beauty

There are days when my leaves will too fall, or perhaps shift in color.

Or when my mellow days transition into colder nights

Tell me this one thing?

Will you too treasure the harmonies of my springs’ songs?

Would you even understand?

If only you knew me…
